WEBINAR: RESULTS OF THE II REGIONAL CONGRESS ON WOMEN IN MIGRATORY CONTEXTS

During the event, the participants followed up on the findings of the “II Women in Migration. Gender, Human Rights and Empowerment Congress”, and on the progress in the implementation of the Guidelines for the Care and Protection of Women in Migratory Contexts. Also, the content of the III Regional Congress on Women in Migratory Contexts, to be held under Mexico’s Presidency Pro-Tempore of the RCM, was defined. 

There was emphasis on the findings and recommendations of the II Congress and the Guidelines. Likewise, from the dialogue between the member countries, some of the topics to be prioritized in the III Congress were derived: generation of statistical information with a gender perspective; gender approach in government programs; staff training, access to health and education; guarantee a safe, orderly, and regular migration; access to psychological care; violence on the migration route; and prevention campaigns.
